Dreaming of You

 
    
 
Sometimes when I lay in bed
and I'm drifting off to sleep
through the rain and the darkness
into my mind you creep
 
I dream of exotic places
under the rainbow with you I dance
wishing you could be with me
in a faraway romance
 
Then I hear your sweet voice
and see your wonderful smile
hoping that this dream
will last for a little while

 

So softly do you kiss me
whispering while holding my hand
just go back to sleep, my love
you' ll find me as you enter dreamland

Sometimes I lie here wondering
if you ever really knew
that I lay in my bed each night
just dreaming of you

Wow, more of the same, I have been there, done that, felt that, how can someone we hold so dear have that presence, that convinces us they are there.
I see this was also one of your earlier poems, you were good at this when you started, and I see your new work, and remain impressed.
