Misty Blue

Misty Blue

A Poem by jane kelley

                              Misty Blue

Sometimes in the quiet of the night
I’m no longer alone, but with you.
I feel your arms around me
chasing away my blues.

Then I wake from my dream
to find you not here.
Just lost in a mist,
with misty blue tears.

I’ll always love you,
you’ll stay in my heart.
When I think of you,
the clouds somehow depart.

Your smile warmed my senses.
You love was so true.
Now I am nothing,
just misty blue.

Why can’t I forget you?
I try every day.
Then the night comes creeping
and I begin to pray.

Will you ever come home?
I need you to hold my hand.
Take me out of this darkness,
this misty blue land.

Time slowly passes,
sands of time drifting away,
more misty blue nights
and misty blue days.

There is a place I can find you,
locked in my heart so I can’t scream.
Your precious love and memories,
are only a misty blue dream.

I’ll think about you forever,
and love you more every day,
since the misty blue moment
that you went away.
