A Beautiful Dream

The moonlight was dreamy

 while I was alone in my bed

 it started me thinking

 memories racing through my head

 

Tears on my pillow

every night since you been away

I’m so very lonely

needing you more each day

 

I soon felt your presence

soothing my fears

your kisses so sweet

they melted my tears

 

You took me in your loving arms

and said you’ll always be there

all night long you held me so close

a passionate embrace we shared

 

The soft glow in your eyes

so shimmering and the warmest brown

I knew deep in my heart

in your arms I would always be found

 

When the sunlight streamed through my window

I turned around and smiled

it had been such a beautiful dream

to be with you for a little while
