Letting Go

Letting Go

A Poem by jane7z

Letting Go

It isn't what we hold onto that makes us rich
but what we are able to let go of
To learn through loss

It isn't the breadth of knowledge
That brings us wisdom
But the application
Of its pearls in the right time

It isn't the over pouring
Of adulation
From an adoring crowd
That determines our
Happiness
But the size of our
Hearts
Ever expanding to love

It isn't winning awards or prizes
That make us successful
But in the lifetime
Gleaning of what
Really matters

It is the opening of our palms
Up towards the sky
The movement of our souls
Freely swayed by the rhythm of life
As we let go

One of my favorites phrase! Here, I find much depth in your words .. which`re themselves a form of "wisdom". I think, you`ve defined the "love" & the sensations of it through this thoughtful poem. Keep on!
