Maniacal Aging Symphony

Maniacal Aging Symphony

A Poem by jane7z

Maniacal aging symphony

As I get up
And around this morning
My back is stiff
Hips creak
And my knee joints
Bubble and squeak
My body's maniacal aging symphony
Reminding me of
Frailty
My mortality

My mind and spirit
Still elate
In the engaging interaction
With living
What is around that next
Bend in the road?

As I get up to dance
The joy of living
Corporeal reality
Grounds me with a
Thuuuumpp
And my body laughs at
My naive tenacity
