The very next one will be different

gentle, kind, warm

honest, loving, caring

and will cherish my heart

will look past this imperfect flawed exterior

and value this heart

understanding how strong and vibrant

it beats and at times it has been known to glow

when love surrounds it.

All will be new

The heartache and sorrow will flee

in the presence of Love

Mistrust and leeriness

will exit out the back

not being able to withstand

the brightness of a caring, giving man

Tomorrow will be different

not full of waiting for calls that never come

of snide remarks about me and coldness

It will not be filled with days of wanting

only physical gratification and nights of loneliness

there will be warmth to his eyes and mischievousness to his

smile

there will be laughter in his step

and most of all

he will stay around a while

not wanting to do anything but play with me

to have my embrace around him

this dream sustains me
