House of CardsA Poem by jane7z2007 End of Long RelationshipStanding in the middle of the room in my house of cards within a whisper of time I pulled it down a human wrecking ball a bundle of dynamite exploding with a fierce commotion it was all over pieces of brick and morter plaster and wood glass and nails flying all over the neighborhood. my house my sanctuary my domain i ruled with a velvet iron hand it was mine so I thought necessary to my way of life to my security my stability but really I was Atlas carrying the weight of my life and that house on my back in the end it was reduced to dust up came a chilling north wind blowing the cards away the Queen of Hearts left rather quickly. the four of clubs exited out the side door. The lucky Ace said its all over I am looking for a better pad. I tried in vain to plead with the cards please come back all will be well I will mend you and all will be as before but they were having none of that. As the Two of Diamonds left she turned to me and said Honey next time don't count on us we are paper products very flimsy and haphazard try some sturdier material to frame your life.
