Drum CircleA Poem by jane7za cool spring night in the city yet the drums roll and the pipes play on leaning back enjoying the rhythms of music and life at the ampitheater lawn feeling all around part of it particle of the universe an essence the will never completely disappear although my body will break down and is even now day by day. a young man soft spoken mocha skin almond brown eyes intelligent but kind opens up a dialogue to a shy woman wrapping herself in the cocoon of a silver parka hiding herself right in view of others trying not to withdraw to be open to what is there. the talk is of art, music, writing life, the heart soul thank you for you reflected me in some ways in a soft spoken yet with passion and intellect for what he loves he conveyed to me what was important in a small space of time reminded me that life and creativity is not without heart and soul making me want to be like him understand him calm yet wise reminding me that i am like him open and interested in life. © 2013 jane7z |
