Dawny DumptyA Poem by jane7z2007dawny dumpty sat on a wall dawny dumpty took a great fall and all the kings psychics and all the kings handymen couldn't put dawny together again. they brought in the oracles they brought in the priest but the pieces were scattered all over the place little bits of dawny dust were launced into space. why did she do it? with such lack of grace her life was so perfect so sweet and so strong no one saw the struggle to be loved all along the precious emotion we can't live without. she couldn't take it anymore she just wanted out out of the game out of the song let me be love you only do me wrong don't stand at my gate and weave your siren song. i am deafening my ears to the sound of your gong. i follow a new path down to that place where love has died of pain and dust and old broken bones the whisper of a heartbeat a laugh here are there are the haunting melodies please close off my ears. don't visit my heart just leave me alone
