The Bible says "watch over your heart with all diligence for from it springs the wells of life" Proverbs 4:23.
It is the center our essence. Please take me away from this time, back to days when I was young and only dreamed of love. You know the dream, they have movie after movie about it, where everything works our happily ever after. That's what I get for being a total escapist as a kid. The world is cruel to idealists it can't bear up to all our expectations, and we either toughen up or shatter. Most of the time I am tough, but lately I feel shattered. A simple bud vase with a glorious ruby kissed rose broken into a zillion pieces. Please take this away this notion of love, that is why I treat it as a disease. I thought I could play these reindeer games and not get hurt.I was in for a big surprise. What's ironic is the very people you would not ever expect to let in to your heart are the ones who damage it. The hurt is like shards of glass sticking into our hearts stabbing us in various places while we helplessly die inside. When you are a person who cares too deeply, don't go into the casual arena of love. You will get gored to death. I suggest already have your heart ripped out, a plastic heart inserted first or an ice cube in the place of the original. Otherwise you are foolish thinking that you can play with this boy and that and it won't catch up to you. It does. On so many levels, you hurt others you don't mean to, and you get hurt by those hurting from someone else hurting them. I need an antidote to this asap. I know time will heal it always does but how many times can our hearts break before they don't heal anymore?
