Merry Christmas

Wishing all of you a Merry Christmas and Tiding of Great Joy
Precious people everywhere
Some believe God in Heaven
sent his son to earth in the name of love
Others embrace it as a time of peace
Push aside their worries for a moment
Sit back and be at ease
Exhaling out the cares the year past
inhale the fragrance of hope
of a coming New Year

To begin again
Fresh chance to chase the dreams
of finding your kindred in love
or cherish those already in our lives
Remembrance that we fragile beings
are but
A bright brief flicker of a spark in the vastness
of the universe
and in an instance of time
from this life
we are gone


With the humility of mortality in view
we are able to open up
to be aware that wisdom
not only in ourselves is to be found
that there is freedom when we break those walls
down
that keep us separated from each other by fear
those who like us are on a journey
never knowing when it will end.
