For Laurie Merry Christmas
Christmas magic tingles as if fairy bells were ringing in the air Emitting a faint charming silver sound A quiet little happiness and its echo resounds Deep within us Announcing the joyful time of year Sometimes the simple things at Yuletide are the best The scent of snow in the air The children's ruby red cheeks reminding us of winter roses Couples all bundled up in mittens scarfs and coats holding hands and exchanging frosty breath and joyful glances Christmas time is a season of romances Thoughts of Christmas past the memories of sights and sounds loved ones laughing and gathered around Brightly wrapped surprises and mischievious eyes Little ones trying to keep open their eyes To catch a glimpse of Santa in his splendor Delivering the delights to each house But Ol Saint Nick is devious He is quiet as a mouse Colors of Christmas everywhere Silver and gold red and green offset the drab winter brown and bleakness apple cider and pine filled rooms Kissing under the mistletoe Enjoying our loved ones at their best May this Christmas and all your Christmas's be blessed © 2013 jane7z |
