still my soul aches but is at peace

it churns inside a bit but as I quiet it

in comes needed release.

seeing yet half blind

my soul listens for the quietness

come into my soul sweet peace

make it your home

bring patience and strength

for the day yet to come

laughter and joy to replace the solemness

of the nightime reverie

of the wide awake dream

of the longing for what I am not sure

but I am close to what it means.

so close my soul is to finding itself

being free to live my life

on the edge of the simplicity

as never before.

where all is condensed to what matters the most

those i love and the world around

nothing else matters but touching lives
