Decisions

Decisions

A Poem by Jan

She fell in love with a married man

Who looked at her and held out his hand.

He was kind, gentle,

Unjudgmental.

Their hearts flew off as they walked

The fields of life, exploring their minds.

Listening, sharing.

Caring.

But then one day the decision had to be made.

Now would their fledgling love fade?

Her heart skipped beats;

Her mind ran as if on swift feet.

The love had taken over and refused to be quieted.

But things in his life had to be righted.

Now she sits alone,

at home.

Wondering.

Pondering.

Weepeing.

Wishing.

But when she hears his voice or sees his face,

There is no doubt in this life's race.

That she will still wait

Until that future date

That she can hold, caress and love him

As they share their lives together again.
