The moon of the beast

The moon of the beast

A Poem by Jamie

A cry out for help

Falls on deaf ears

Exposing all his fears.

These wolves are coming

With death on their breath

Sniffing out the weak

They crave a meal so they can rest.

His breath becomes gasps

As the moon shines brightly

His skin turns to fur

As his chest caves tightly.

This reminds me of a dream I had yesterday morning that left me feeling so strange, a man was stranded on the side of the road, and was isolated out alone in the snow on the side of the road, had car trouble and was calling out for help, weird, wonderful write, wonderfully uncanny.

You really get the sense of panic that turns to strength at the very end during the transformation. Excellent storytelling in very few lines!

Very spooky. I thought they were after him but I guess they were just coming to pick him up. They hunt in packs.
