My old friend

A letter to an old friend.

Good morning my old friend

Always a pleasure to see you again

Time has ruined you it is plain to see

Maybe it's time I set you free?

We solved the case after all these years

Pushed each other through it fighting the tears

The hate we had for each other back then

Helped us find those evil men.

I hope you are well

I hope your drinking fell

I hope we will see each other again

I miss you my friend so long until then.

This has truth in every word. It's bracing to have the lost moments back. Every instances that made us giggle/sob in company of each other starts revitalizing. We tend to notice the deviation in the person's character and personality from the one that's registered in our mind from way back then.

I enjoyed this poem. The flow was amazing...and I like the rhythm as well. I can say that I relate to this poem. I have lost friends too...and I don't miss them at this point. Losing them has really made me feel like there has been a weight lifted off my shoulder, but at the same time other people left too. Shows who your friends truly are. It's always nice when you can find peace and start to become friends again. :)
