If Only

One of my many poems I have wrote.

If only the skies would understand

Exactly what this world demands

It wouldn't be so blue

The clouds would not be so white

The sun would never shine it would always be moonlight.

If only she listened to what I had said

I wouldn't have found her alone in her bed

With crimson stained wrists and her eyes open wide

I held her in my arms and screamed to the sky why oh why.

If only the skies would understand

If only this glass would never empty

If only this bar would never close

If only my heart would stop beating

I would be with her forever more.
