Something of a Black HoleA Poem by Jamie
A color of pale blue or gray,
Covering over her body, like a thick, heavy blanket, A blanket with a weight to heavy to push aside. A sound of silence, However a silence so loud that everyone can hear it, Yet no one knows how to reach out. A sharp and smooth feeling, Like one of a razor blade that pierces into her skin, allowing her to feel something physical, Something to take over that numb feeling drowning her. A scent of salt and rust, The combination of tears streaming down her face and blood seeping from her wrists, Because letting the demons escape allows her to erase them. A taste of comfort food: Ice cream, chocolate, chips, and cookies--- The food that eats the grief from inside out, keeping it away for a little while. A facial expression of blood shot, puffy eyes, Along with a wet, tear-stained face, And a frown that could stretch for miles and miles. A name for this is depression; Which can also be called a black hole, Since everyday, she is swallowed down deeper and deeper with no escape. © 2010 JamieAuthor's Note
