I now see

I now see

A Poem by Somebody you've already forgoten
"

i want to say thanks to John for helping me with this poem

"

I now see

all that used to be

What I thought was good

Truth was my head was as thick as wood

I was always hopeful for tomorrow

Seeing no sorrow

Truth was I was young,

But also very dumb

I see that now,

and now I am just wondering how

How could it be that way?

It's difficult for me to say

But I was oblivious to all the bad

But now that it is exposed

That door has closed

Now ain't that sad

I now see

all that used to be

What i thought was good

Truth was my head was as thick as wood

Author's Note

Somebody you've already forgoten
this storey is manly about how ignorant a child can be.

yw..glad I could help.
I was just thinking about the subject you mentioned in the author's note earlier today, as I was walking..randomly, and independently of reading this..
I liked how you changed the ironic part and incorporated it near the ending.
the drumbeat worked well at the end, too..repetition is always good, if placed right..which you did.
it's really honest and it flows well..kind of has a smooth rhythm in the phrasing.
good stuff. keep up the good work. I know it's a good spring board for future work, too.
peace. [=
