Suffer

What is suffer? One might ask, well, suffer is.....

...the fire that burns inside every soul.

Suffer is a battle scar, a great, vast hole.

Suffer is tears wept from a unsatisfied lover.

Suffer doesn't disappear, it will just hover.

Suffer is guilt from a stolen treasure.

Suffer is pain beyond all scienfic measure.

Suffer is a reason for all to be afraid.

Suffer will be like a bill that must be paid.

Suffer is like the gun you may one day weild.

Suffer strips you of pride, until you have kneeled.

Suffer is like a knife stabbing the core of your heart.

Suffer will use you up and toss you off the chart.

Suffer knows your deepest lies.

Suffer will know when you soul reaches the skies.

Suffer makes you feel cold to the core.

Suffer makes your aches and sores.

Suffer will stalk you every corner you turn.

Suffer will make you cry and make you burn.

Suffer pulls you into suiside.

Suffer jerks with you until you are forced inside.

Worst of all...

Suffer is inside you, when you look in a mirror, and everyday he gets nearer and nearer...

To be honest i really can't put my finger on this poem. I had to read it a couple of times to really even get to a point to write about it. Everything you say "Suffer" is, a burden, consuming, haunting and soul killing thing, but I feel that when I read it. I feel a burning but of anger. I felt anger behind each sentence and in fact it made me read very fast. I also felt anger, because at the end you gave the Suffer a figure, a male, persona, and with that sentence that's where i feel the anger the most towards that one person that brought the suffering to you. i am sorry if i went too into this. Like i said i had a hard time figuring this out. A good poem though, thank you, Keep writing!
