Eagle's land forsaken
Living life on razor-ed edged blade
Just trying to understand
Why inspiration's left its nest
Can't find its place to land...

It's time to see what's in plain view
The writing's plastered on bloodied wall
Enclosure street panics--government damaged
Electronic economic worth down-fall

So hard to witness when you've been--
High and mighty
Just to watch as bald eagle's feathers fall

Time to be the nation
That the free world seeks out
Internal battles have raged to naught
Life and death without a second thought

Dagger-ed-eyed connection
Segregation--still in full play
With no real end to the games
Secret agenda floats on tainted air
A knowing of deception stirs in lion's lair

The Lady of Liberty now sheds a sorrowed tear
a once great nation-- brought to her knees
Living in the consumption of a downtrodden fear.

What made you upset, something on the news? I try not to look at news on television because the headlines are just as upsetting. The world has gone mad and ainno' body trusting God cause if that were the case the world wouldn't be in the shape it's in would it. I was saying earlier some of the best writes come from pain, even anger. Thanks for giving me something else to get into this morning.
