Reflection

                          Loving feelings washing over me
                         Today life smiled and set me free
                           Took away my need to bleed
                           Gave me peace and serenity
                         Alleviated my mind's insanity

                     Caught the reflection in your eyes
                     Created the sunshine in my smiles
             Gave me the reason to sigh... then breathe
            Delivered me into a world I could believe
              Keeps me stable in this illusion of life
    Stops me tight-rope walking on the edge of a knife

                   Don't ever want to feel the way I did
                  Been living that life since I was A kid
    With one big breath... you blew my dark cloud away
                 Allowed me sight to see a brighter day
    Keep me lingering in the thought of... 'it just might'
                Encouraging emotion evoked the fight
                   Elation tingles... my knowing grows
            Gives time for pause as heart... beat slows

...The smiles in your eyes are the reflections of your love...

I see thoughts of Jade have inspired this sweet dance of words frolicking on to pages. I take it this one certainly met with her approval. Many don't truly appreciates or comprehend how they can affect someone else life is such a positive and dramatic way...I'll bet Jade does :). Actually, I think she in a sense helped to rescue you. i think you were working on your own self preservation too.

Jade certainly did inspire these words... my aim is to allow what smooth life I can control and let the rough stuff do its own thing... and you are so right about that positive attitude giving rise for change in someone's daily grind... as much as a smile at the right time can do that... but I do what I can when I can... that's just me. and again your dead-spot-on Jade did save me in so many senses... the main one however was teaching me love... I thought I knew it, but I didn't... but once I understood, there was no stopping me... I guess it was always in me I just needed the light to be switched on... It amazing how our moods may radically change from dark to bright under a new light. I was inspired to write my version of your first verse as the following gift song-poem which you may keep as your own. I used 1/0/1/0/1/0/1 seven syllable meter to make it sing. Sing along:

moods do change in an instant... and in my past life, it would fluctuate uncontrollably... but living life with conscious thought changed that... now i'm not saying it changes the happening of... but I am saying the attitude in which you choose to use that emotion should be a conscious descission

Thought is a dynamic flow of logical constructs mixed with the objects of memory that these constructs work with, and moods are motivations behind making and using those constructs. Memory is our mapping of past experiences. Logic and memory are computer functions, but the flow of our moods from moment to moment is what makes us conscious. Your moods are still shifting as much as they always have been but perhaps they are more complex moods now, and you're in the mood to watch your moods as if they are coming from another person, the reflection of your consciousness.. We don’t do anything without a motivating mood or complex-of-moods behind it. Moods are synergies that have no logical algorithms, and therefore can’t be programmed into a computer. Consciousness itself is a synergy. In synergies, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. We’re greater than the sum of our parts.
