Unbroken Warrior

Unbroken Warrior

A Poem by Jumbo J

Too many times has this seeker of wisdom
Fallen foul to the pitfalls of barren quests
Windows and doors were not always open to receive
The light to greater perception fell short of sight
Arduous was the journey tracked through mind-fields
Yet knowledge was gained never-the-less
As fruit still yielded great maturity in lesson's learned
Only through guilded eyes and thought
Would offer the great rewards of perseverance
The gains of life and not the loss through death
Will prove the worth of such a man
Choice to rise to every unforeseen challenge
With integrity and courage that offers solace
Unbroken Warrior 'till the last sweet warm breath...

"The quest through mind fields" makes me think of being tested or refined and how a lot of the knocks we take can actually serve to our betterment. When you come out of a tragedy or a tribulation it is my hope that we get stronger and become more resilient. I think it depends on what we are made of to start with but feel if we are receptive growth is favorable possibility. I loved the title which could imply we can become unbroken if we choose. Introspective!

Well, you very welcomed. I'm glad you recognize that I see you big man :). Thank you.
One day, I ran across a girl on a quest to find her lost comb. She looked for half an hour, but couldn't find it; then I told her to look in the mirror, and there it was stuck in her hair. Sometimes we don't need to quest through mine-fields. Sometimes it's much better to just wait and see how fate unfolds of its own accord. Patients is much better than perseverance. Let the dominoes fall where they may.
