Dragons Breath

The clouds of time have stilled my ways
But that's not how it was in my younger days
I've lived my life on a dragon's breath
Putting my reality to the test

There were many times I rolled the dice
My body wrapped in injury... I paid a price
Always the attitude I would survive
I'm truly grateful to be alive

Mistakes I made gave me pause
To change my ways... to change my course
I strung my aspirations to my blind faith
It led me to you in a moment of grace

I strive for balance... that's a fact
To achieve my goals... to keep on track
Now it's light when once was black
'Cause I ride through life on the dragon's back.
