saturday morning

saturday morning

A Poem by hello_james_douglas
"

based on a real experience i had last weekend...

"

i woke up that saturday morning

to find a strange woman in my bed

nobody gave me a proper warning

they let me sleep around instead

her skin was pale and smooth to the touch

she had the face of a goddess

but i didn't even know her name - not even that much

i want to know that and more nonetheless

she woke up and looked me in the eye

her eyes as blue as the sea

she said she enjoyed it, but i knew it was a lie

i knew this love could not be

i asked her to leave right then and there

as a single tear ran down her cheek

she picked up her shirt and pink underwear

that look of grief made me so weak

i woke up that saturday morning

to find my dog sleeping in my bed

it was just a silly little warning

now for a pill to ease my head
