Precious Few

Precious Few

A Poem by James Crouch

A little white sail, upon the edge of the day
The water is calm, it flows gently away
A wash of perfume, makes the air so sweet
The sound of the people, the music in the street

The coffee and cocktails, play a soft tune
Whilst the scent of the ocean, reminds me of you
And the wonderful lights, that sparkle like jewels
Nestled in sight, precious and few

The pavement is filled, with the night’s calls
That sweeps away the day, makes them forget it all
It lines the dark in a silk so fine
We have all that we need, other than time
