Dionaea Muscipula

Dionaea Muscipula

A Poem by Jamie F. Nugent

I would stick my hands
Into the Venus-fly-trap,
That you kept in your hallway,
Just to see what it felt like.

I would taste marmite
From your spoon,
Pressed up against my lips,
Just for a change.

I would drink my cup of tea,
The way it was to you liking,
(milk,no sugar)
Just to get a taste of what you tasted.

Still, there is value in things unpleasant.
