Dirty, Rag Hair.

Dirty, Rag Hair.

A Poem by JAM

She mocked me -
     Dirty Rag Hair Girl -
                and they all laughed.
Who wouldn’t when they knew,
    they knew.
Her twisted face cackled.
as it had since the third grade.
        Still finding others pain funny
        in high school.
And I realized,
    sitting there that ---
the days of the Friendship Fairy
that glittered on top of our kindergarten class
with Magic Friendship Dust
        --- were over.
Or maybe the Friendship Fairy just stopped visiting
    Dirty Rag Hair Girl's house.
