Carpe DiemA Poem by Jam
Carpe Diem My favorite coffee shop The favorite coffee on the table top Chatting with my friend Both gossiping to the extent! You were on the other table I didn’t notice until, I suddenly… Looked towards you And found you staring at me. Thinking it to be a mere accident, I looked away trying to concentrate on my gossip. But my doubts were confirmed When the stare was deliberate and longer this time. More than see, I observed Each glance, each smile… I wanted to preserve! Tea now seemed just an excuse, True reason seemed obvious…that I cannot refuse. Well, did I see a smile… At the corner of those lips And a shine in those lovely eyes, God’s own fine craft were you. My heart skipped a beat Hope you felt the same too! Those eyes were magical, They had so much to say. Though you never spoke anything, But those eyes conveyed many things. They are the mirrors to your soul, Displaying your feelings for once n all. It seemed that time had stopped, We kept exchanging glances and occasional smiles. I strangely felt good within Don’t know why but prayed this moment never ends. But I knew what I wished for… Was never possible. As all good things… This too will come to an end. At last the time came For me to end the game Ran out of excuses to stay longer Extra coffee orders also made the (serving) boy wonder! I had to leave then, But did you hear the words… My silence was so desperate to tell. I wish we could meet again, This time breaking the silence, play the talking game. But even if I don’t meet you anymore, I don’t regret a bit, For I, had the most of the moment. I bid you farewell, I wish you well The moment was special to me, My friend, I lived it to the spree.
