Bi-Polar

Bi-Polar

A Poem by Jalisa Treloar

I in a sense embrace the chaos, leaching on to this answer given to me as if to reassure my demons.

It captivates me from the depths of its twisted core, reeling me in until my false sense of clarity and rationality are unwillingly surrended.

Surrended to the very same thing that in adverse to its torment, shields me from its brutality and gives me life in all its horrendously blazing colours.

Torturing me ever so beautifully once ripping it out from beneath me before I have time to reach out and break the fall.

It play acts as Assuring and fulfilling in the utmost of ways; yet impossibly unrealistic and ambiguously unpredictable.

In its entirety its somehow sickly comforting.

How much sacrifice can be made? How many bad days can be traded for good before insanity takes over?

I love your view of big polar disorder ... I lived for 15 years with my ex who was diagnosed with the condition ... you captured it beautifully ...
