A look into my life.

We are not bent ,we do not show...
the pain and weakness that we know...
The way we feel when we can’t rest.
Is just one symptom of the rest.

"You look O.K." is what they shout....
They don't know what FMS is about...
How can we tell them how we feel?
That our symptoms are very real...

The fatigue and pain and anxiety
Is what we have that you can't see
These symptoms are but to name a few
Outside I may look just like you !.

This FMS gets a hold on us all
Not just the women ,oh no! Not at all
It hurts little children and grown men too
So be thankful that is hasn't got you...

So please don't criticize and say
"oh no! What's up with her today?"
We cannot help the way we feel
For this disease is very real!!

We live in hope that there will be
Some kind of help for you and me
But until then we'll carry on
And fight the symptoms one by one..

The way we are is not the way
That we would choose to be today
We didn't ask for all this pain
What we would give to be free of this pain.
