With a new year comes new thoughts, hopes, and plans for the future. Many people say that the past should be just that, past. The bad times forgotten that they make way for new horizions. Many look to the past and with it they are held bound to it by a single memory or emotion. Happiness or love may be that emotion that traps us in the past. But in the cases of some it is the only memory that we have. But there are also those beautiful distractions that come into our lives that pull us out of the past and into not only the present but into the future.

There are many beautiful people in this world. Beautiful, in mind, body, and spirit. One of those people that is truely beautiful in all of these ways is near by in the shower. He has some things about him that make him more special then anyone I have known. He has a way of saying things that defy much of what I have heard from others. For him, his physical beauty is out matched by the beauty of his spirit. So vibrant and alive! Living his life without fear of the unknown and enjoying taking the journey. But with a great sense of humility and care that he has for others. He's one of those guys that when he walks in the room it's like there is an aura of warmth and joy.

Everyday I am thankful I have him in my life. In some ways we are alike. But also in ways we differ. And thats what I think makes us such a unique pair of friends. And maybe tonight he was right. I should go out there and get what I want and have it to the fullest. And just get rid of what ever is in my way. If there was one thing of his I wish I could have of his it would be his confiednce. He's like a beacon of light pearing through a thick fog. And where ever his light shines, there is happiness. It's truely remarkable!

If there is ever something that I would want for him it is to have all of the happiness and love that he deserves. I look at them as they stare at him like a piece of meat or something to be used. And then I think to myself, if you only knew. He deserves to be happy. In fact I would say that he deserves everything that he could ever want in life. From the most mundane and asanine objects to the most meanigful person he will have in his life. Someone that he can call a lover. I want all the best things in this world for him and will hope he gets nothing less. And to see the brightness in his eyes is more valuable than anything I could ask for. Because you can see the happiness in his heart.
