SaviorA Poem by Lyr J. ThirskThe mud, the dirt , the grime, sweet sleep The shade of yellow trees in canyon deep 'Neath the orbless sky and angry keep Where lady wept and crossed the edge to leap
Past pictured words she fell and flew Embossed upon the midnight dew Of yellow trees that gave the shade In canyon deep she went forbade
First third of plunge she never screamed The second felt her heart redeemed The last too late her folly revealed Confessed to Peter with thou she'd kneel
Now cast against a static noise The voice of men, amongst the boys Go forth, my dears and live to last Fight hard, fight right, avenge the past
To run, to sludge, to beat the soil Her dying flight the plan did foil Into his arms she fell undead They lived and borne a life instead
Father, Mother, grande and great From loss was wrent a better fate As scarred soldier alone to war embarked She saved with her plunge into the dark
