Miserable, Alone, Lost

Miserable, Alone, Lost

A Poem by Jake Xingu
"

Lyrics to a song that I wrote.

"

You can't ask for much anymore

if he opens a window

you can bet that he's locked

all the doors

if he opens a window

you can bet that he's locked

the door

For now the time has come

to cast away your sorrows

throw down your sadness

cease to mourn

cease to mourn

for he was miserable, alone, and lost

your happiness doesn't have to have

a mighty cost

a wizard entombed in frost

casting cold spells and wondering

what went wrong

You capture the sentiment of the title nicely. I like the repetition, cease to mourn. Easier said than done. Nice job.
