Me-A-Do, For I can

Me-A-Do, For I can

A Poem by Jake E. Sampson

Me-A-Do, For I can

Come hither young magpie, where is your loyal spouse?

Lonesome we shall be, empty our house.

Of course fair bird, you should not despair, fame fortune you have not even to repair?

Bow down should others to your life’s struggle,

both raven’s and crows stay sealed; pride’s bubble.

Salute three times, it’s nature’s respect, for longed protrusion

Is solemn, direct.

I leave you now, noble journey to pass

Meet again dear magpie, alas.
