Forgiveness By: Jake Nelson
Life of hurting, life of harm, Now he’s even lost his charm. Had no choice, but to turn to drugs, Paying back a group of thugs
Forced to dealing, And sometimes stealing, Living in a world of debt All the things that he regrets
In one night it all goes down Biggest drug heist in the town Cops surrounding cops alert All that he knew was he was hurt
All he sees now is metal bars Hunky cellmates with anchor scars Hoping now for a break Any path for him to take
Eventually a man goes by And catches him with his eye Takes him out and sets him free Lets him live and lets him be
No don’t you worry don’t you fret That man is safe and sound I bet The man that saved him who set him free Is a man who is very close to me
man of mercy man of love A man I think that you should know of His name is Jesus, son of God Who sent his son to shed his blood
The greatest gift that he could give Is mercy so that we could live © 2008 jakeAuthor's Note
