Live long?

Live long?

A Poem by The Midnight Writer
"

Immortality is an amazing curse.

"
How much can one man take?
How much must the world make him endure before he is not himself anymore.
How much time?
How many losses?
How much pain and agony?
Every day I fade away.
I am not the man I used to be.
That man was... someone else.
That man was full of hope and love.
He had only loved once but it was enough love to fill his heart.
But over time the love faded away.
Faded away till nothing was left.
Just a dark black husk of the man he was.
Now he is me,
And I am a monster.
Killing all love that my heart finds.
Tearing pages from the book of my life,
Looking for a better story.
I read ahead and found the end of my story.
I cant change it so I just want it to end sooner.

Agony comes to mind when reading this and I can't say that I have felt this but I felt it when reading.

Ah the tantalizing irony of immortality I wonder if I too would lose myself in the endless days. Thank you.
