Love by Ukulele

I often yearn to be back into your presence.

To sit beside you, looking into your soft blue eyes.

To observe you soft, frail hands flow over the keys of your piano,

or to see your hands rhythmically strum your small wooden ukulele.

Oh, the sound it makes.

The soft symphony of chords and your angelic voice creating pleasure and happiness out of pure grace.

The rush of emotion to my heart reigniting it to beat to the rhythm of the song.

It matters not what the tune being played is or even on what the song is played on, but rather the one who plays the tune.

They are the ones creating love, not the instrument.

The fact that I am instantly mesmerized by the sound of your music.

Your challenge for me to pick a song that I hate and then sit to watch you turn it into beautiful music that I download and listen to over and over.

To play a song I had never heard before and turn it into my new favorite song that changes every time I see you.

You say that I don't know what love truly is,

That you don't love me like that.

But if you will play me your wonderful music,

I find that the happiness and joy it brings me is close enough.
