missing the ¨dead¨

missing the ¨dead¨

A Poem by jaide
"

this poem is about how sometimes we hold on to thing that arent there anymore, for example; old text messages from an ex-lover who don't love you anymore :(

"

Rereading old messages is internal suicide.

I can feel my stomach drop as i read words you would never say now.

It's like talking to the dead.

And it's so. F*****g. Hard. to not miss the dead.

Sometimes i beg for you to come back to life…

But then, i remember you're not dead- but it's the version of you that loved me that has died

When love died. So damn painful. Old sadness become less painful with old age. I have reached old age. I do understand the poetry dear poet. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.
