My PleaA Poem by Matt StewartHostility is a loaded gun we feed into day by day, Watching the weak take the bullet as our hearts slowly fade. Whatever happend to "love thy neighbor?" or can we tell wrong from right? Day by day Satan's using puppets to bring forth his twisted sight. The Body sits dormant and calls it tolerance, as we lose precious souls every day; We're under the dilusion nothing's wrong, but there's a price that will be paid. There's a voice rising in the distance calling, "The time is nearly here!" Yet here we are comfortable in our sins, while others feed on their tears. Where is the passion we used to know? Is it numb or is it gone? I've watched so many because of trials, lose reason for holding on. People see freedom in Christ as frreedom to adapt to the world When the truth is we're supposed to be set apart, not seeking sin as our pearls. All over the world Christians are dying, firm in their beliefs While here in America all we can say is, "As long as we have a worldly peace." Take a step back to question yourself. What does the world have to offer? Just an ideal of selfishness and greed, children turning on their Father. We're to be wise as serpents and gentle as doves, not act out of malice and hate. We ought to take the time to change the course before it's too late. The book of life is being written as I now earnestly speak, And if we truly knew the weight of our sin, we'd be knocked off of our feet. People turn to humanity instead of the Word to try to understand When the key to peace, love, joy, and understanding lies in our hands. Churches practice spiritual kareoke instead of pouring out their hearts And we sonder why, piece by piece the body is falling apart. It's time for leaders and men of God to take a righteous stand, To deliver words that burn like fire, yet bring understanding to man. As I speak God is building me up for the task that lies ahead. No trick of the devil, no mere mans word can keep this from being said. We'll never be perfect but we're asked to live holy and righteous lives; To live for the Father and not this world, the devils apparent discuise. Open your eyes to the truth of it all; it may sting, but it will pass. I want to one day leave this world with words that will last. Lives are changed by the hand of God each and every day; My own soul was delivered in a time when my heart seemed to stray. The Shephard leads me, and I will speak, no matter what others say. I want to see others brought to salvation as we worship before the Father someday. Love is the answer to all this hate, that's all I'm trying to say. Love is defined by one name...The Truth, The Life, and The Way. © 2012 Matt Stewart |
