6/15/11A Chapter by Matt Stewart

It was harder than I thought it would be saying goodbye to everyone at La Roca; almost surreal. I keep praying everyday to return to Peru if it's in God's will. It's been a real blessing here, and these people have made such an impact on my life; an impact I could never sum up in mere words. After we left La Roca, we went to the center of Lima to see the captital, then we went on to the Indian Market. I definitely realized you learn a lot of the Spanish language when shopping alone there, especially when trying to get down the price of everything. I was fortunate enough to get quite a few good deals though. After leaving the market Juan took us to a fancy hotel near the beach that was very pricey, but he had a friend who worked there, so he decided to treat everyone to a buffet dinner. After that we said goodbye to Juan, Eva, and Priscilla, and left for the airport. It only seemed like yesterday we were entering Peru, and next we were leaving. Sitting in that plane I thought about a lot of things; mainly the children and memories I had left behind. I'll never forget my time there, and in all honesty I can safely say I left a piece of my heart with all the people in La Roca. Until we meet again...
