6/11/11A Chapter by Matt Stewart6/11/11
It's been a tiring but productive day here for me. Beginning at ten, the kids showed up for children's ministry here, and as always, it was great to see all of my little brothers and sisters in Christ. It's always encouraging to have there constant love and support.
At three o'clock Benny and I headed to another area of chldren's ministry in Lima. There we shared with the children music, introduced ourselves, and I shared the story of Joseph with the kids. After walking Yohanna and her friends home we returned to La Roca.
After much confusion I found where I would be preaching, and once my translator arrived she made an outline of the lesson. The lesson went well and I felt that the people really appreciated that I shared with them my first time preaching.
The rest is still a blur to me; after my sermon I wanted time to relax, but I felt like I was being rushed to join the group to go to Santiago's home, although I wasn't told what time the group was leaving. I told everyone I was alright, but the truth is I was tired, stressed, and a little frustrated. It's really the only night I can recall here when I was in desperate need of sleep. Ministry is no bed of roses, but we must all learn to be flexible, humble, and most importantly, loving. © 2011 Matt Stewart |
