6/7/11A Chapter by Matt Stewart
6/7/11
Another great day in La Roca; after breakfast I went to Keesa's K4 class to tell the story of Joseph. After I finished they all ran up to hug me and I could feel the Spirit overflow with love in that room. The children here are really growing on me, and through their love the Lord is pulling me here more and more. Today was a national day for the country. The children dressed as the founding leaders of Peru, and each class marched down the pass of La Roca with the red and white Peruvian flags waving proudly. It was an honor to march and celebrate with the children during the day commemorating the founding of their great country. The rest of the day has been pretty slow. I worked with Mrs. Gladys and her wonderful students; I'll even be able to help her with teaching her class tomorrow. When school let out I went with Elise to the teachers meeting since the group had left already. After the meeting I tutored a 4th grader Matias in English for an hour, and that's been my day. Tomorrow I tell the story of David and Goliath for the third grade and help teach Mrs. Gladys' class. That's all for now...
