An eyes on horizon

An eyes on horizon

A Poem by jadia4708au
"

"

My eyes couldn’t reach the horizon

I could see it divided into zones

I still owned large chunk of the land

I had complete control,in mu hand

It has come after logn struggle

I know it is like water bubble

I may not be here to own it for long

All my efforts may prove me wrong

I proudly stand on land and acclaim

I have every reason to believe and claim

It has no validity behind any assumption

The life stands for only time consumption

One may come  and stay for a while

He may be astonished at the flow of Nile

How much one can pick from its abundant flow?

Not enough asdit will prove very slow

There is no end to lust

Thought efforts are necessary and must

If hold for longer period then iron also may rust

Name too will disappear id blown over by dust

What happens when eye sight becoems weak?

When you are confined to bed and fell sick?

You have no power to hold the stick

Chances to hold firm recede and bleak

How do you then proclaim as victory?

How do you prevent locking of factory?

The control seemes to be loosing ground

No favorable situation is ever found

Well, this had been advocated then and now

It was put bluntly to hold it firmly and how

We paid no attention to exploit it at bare minimum

The complete life was lost to acquire  maximum

It is slipping away from hand at eleventh hour

We have no time to count the years

It had been  complet waste of life span

We roamed whole pond like swan

The poet stands and wonders what he will do when he becomes old and feeble. He asks how he will keep control of his lands and all that he owns.....My interpretation. Wonderful work!

This is not a cultural imperative...because its understandable within the context of most societies. Its complex and its real.

Your story in your poem is what most men thoughts are when looking back at their life. The many question in the poems I have ask myself over and over. I wonder did I do one thing good? My children are my blessings. I like the ending. A wise man try to be kind and not harm anyone in their life. In a complete life we travel many roads. We must hope to land upon the right one. A excellent poem. You made me think.
