Winter Breath

White covers the ground

Beneath our awakening bodies

Each breath taken

Sends ice through us

Every life taken

Freezes

Every soul that wonders the world around us

Quivers away

We breathe in life

Leaving nothing but the dark

And depressing

Death of the cold

We breathe in ice

Freezing our already cold hearts

Until we are left with nothing

But our broken and cold bodies

And frozen souls.
