Lost OnesA Poem by jadendcWhen writing this I felt it describe depression in society and how those who have never feld its cold grasp think its a jokeAs the darkness creeps ever closer in Sounds of loneliness pervading the air And the mournful sighs of children begin Abandoned and afraid, night calls them friend The caskets open and mortician prepare As the darkness creeps ever closer in The lights fade as mothers and fathers grin Papers fly and pills fall, poor souls get snared And the mournful sighs of children begin When society treats you like a djinn Forgotten and alone just being impaired As the darkness creeps ever closer in Fine just starting life as the shadows twin Ending as a building in disrepair And the mournful sighs of children begin Life has no meaning when it’s within And every breath is a greater break, tear As the darkness creeps ever closer in And the mournful sighs of children begin
