                  it holds on to the night,hoping there will be no light.it creeps and crawls for its food,soon it will have its prey

No offense here, but this is (for a vampire poem) very basic and bland. Dig deeper and give the reader substance. Make it truly "powerful" as you stated in your note below the title. Make them say "hey this is damn good". Especially since there are so many vampire stories out there. Don't give up and keep on writing.
