Introduction

An explanation of the world of the heroines and how it came to be...

Amongst the planet known as Earth, are creatures; some which are known as the intelligent race, others which are considered as just dumb, filthy, animals... But, what is really known about this planet besides the creatures living upon its surface? What if there was another world, a world within this world, which humans fail to understand, nor fathom for that matter? A world that is an exact copy of earth, but is located deep beneath its surface?
The mantle of earth is known to be made of one of the hardest components known to man. It seemed that nothing was able to break this impenetrable rock, except, perhaps the magma beneath. However, just beyond this indestructible surface, is another layer of earth, filled with lakes, springs and even life...Life with which humans believed to exist only in their myths and legends.
This new life, creatures in the true sense of the word, first came to this world as humans. But for some unforeseen event, these beings were forced to leave the home from which they knew, in search for a new home; a new way of life. These beings possessed abilities forsaken in the human world, the topside as they now call it, and were shunned because of these powers. With no where else to turn, these beings followed under a single woman, in hopes for salvation. The creation of their new world was now set in motion...
The sun and the moon, the lakes and the springs, the land and the forestry, were all made by this woman. However, she knew she couldn't make an exact copy of the topside world. The light of the original sun would burn many of her beloved followers, the beings which were seen as, 'creatures of the night' by the human world...She couldn't allow this to happen, so in the original sun's stead, she formed an artificial sun, one which would warm and brighten their world as the original did for the topside world, without any initial danger for her people.
Then, when the day drew closer to its end, that's when the moon would begin to rise, relieving the others of their daily routines, just as they had grown accustomed to. This world was indeed like the earth they once knew.
From there, this new world's inhabitants began to build their own villages, towns, and cities...Each spreading out, races staying ever so close to their own kind...The woman felt that her new found world would eventually change into the world in which they first left. So, she announced a change; she announced a holy city to be built, Hellinous, where all creatures would come and live in peace. She wanted this holy city to be the very center of their life. She wanted for all of her followers to work together, to fix what was about to be broken once again. However, wherever there is good, there is always impending evil. Beyond her holy cities natural barriers, was a tower, where the most powerful sorcerer lived. His name is Drake, and he lived to do nothing but set harm to these people; or so the legends say...
Nothing more is known about this young warlock, except, that he is gifted with a great power which no mere mortal can comprehend. Yet, the story has yet to take place as an unexpected turn of events befalls this oasis, and seemly at the hands of this young sorcerer.
The story begins with three teen-age girls born of this world of myths and legends, each having their own ties to what is about to take place: Star, who's quick to anger and just as quick to speak her mind; Tygra, a sassy little witch whose not afraid to fight for her beliefs; and Jade, a mysterious young vampire with questionable motives...
