Another Day

I need to let it out
Because I can't just hold it in.
I think I'll lose my mind;
My thoughts are lost among the din.

I wish she could be mine,
But there's just so much I can't do,
Although she seems sincere
When she says to me, "I love you."

I don't want to love her,
Not every second of each day.
It brings pain to my heart,
Pain that my eyes always betray.

She says I have her heart,
And yet she acts as if I don't.
I say I'll make her mine,
And yet somehow I know I won't.

Now she’s walking toward me;
My mind won’t let me run away.
I let her hold me close,
I’ll say goodbye another day.
