Somewhere In The World

Somewhere in the world,
A baby cries and shouts,
A couple falls in love
And friends have falling outs.

A teen girl's getting ready
To go out on a date.
Her boyfriend, walking out the door,
Calls to say that he'll be late.

A boy is being picked on;
The bully points and laughs.
A husband and a wife divorce;
The family tears in half.

Common things are happening,
Like talking with a friend
Or driving down the wrong road
And reaching a dead end.

But closer than I realized,
A death has just occured
And my best friend's soul just wanders
Somewhere in the world.
